Fashion, Fun, Frolic...What's NEW this Wedding Season?

Mens ethnic is moving fast towards the fusion form. Anything that is loud and filled with zardosi is on decline. Men are seeking clean and detail oriented ethnics. Long sherwani kurtas and churidar with typical embroideries is completely a style of past.

The direction of ethnics strongly depends upon Bollywood, to say kurtas worn in Kurban are high in demand. Also, period movies like Jodha Akbar influence the consumers on high note. A-line cuts for sherwani with sleek and elegant embroideries, knee/thigh length teamed with accessories; the style conceived by many bridegrooms of today. A lot of crystallized work in the form of motifs is predominantly visible especially on collars.   Sherwani’s with brooches and embellishments are very much the style of today. Pocket Squares are now a preferred element when comes to classic sherwanis.

Bottoms are taking the central stage. Breeches are back to make a fashion statement. Jackets with breeches have become a perfect look for an evening wear especially for occasions like Wedding Receptions.

This season we have had strong inspirations from western folklore of India as well as oriental art. A lot of contrast can be seen in the colours. Deep hues of green, purple, red and blue are the colours this wedding period.

Ethnics has its own limitation when it comes to fabrics, though a lot of work is done on brocades, velvet and innovative polynosics. There exists a high demand for fabrics like: Pashmina, Lame, Satin brocades, Chinese brocades, Metallics, Wool blended fabrics, Shimmers and various textured fabrics.

FUSION in terms of style, cuts, fabrics and colours are in high demand. My clients are extremely valued and thus every demand of theirs is of the highest priority. However, I dominate this front as veteran designer and hence every groom endows trust in my designing /styling abilities giving me freedom to conceive the best.
